Letter from the Recruitment Chair

Hello!

I am so glad you are here and interested in learning more about the Epsilon Tau chapter of Delta Delta Delta here at Quinnipiac! My name is Sophie Valuntas, and I am honored to serve as the Vice President of Membership Experience. Our entire chapter is anxiously waiting to meet you and cannot wait to welcome you with open arms into the Panhellenic community. I encourage you to go through the recruitment experience and find your home on campus, just as my sisters and I have. Panhellenic recruitment is one of the most anticipated and exciting times of the year for our chapter, as we work diligently to plan and prepare for your arrival. The purpose of recruitment is to give you an inside look at each of the chapters on campus and what it means to be a part of the Panhellenic community at QU. During this time, you will visit our chapter of Delta Delta Delta and speak to our sisters about activities, interests and values. You will meet a group of incredible women who exemplify our values of truth, self-sacrifice and friendship as well as live out our motto of being kind alike to all.

Participating in formal recruitment was one of the most rewarding decisions I have made for myself in college. I had no idea what to expect from recruitment or sorority life, but I decided to just jump right in. I knew I made the right decision when I ran home to Tri Delta on  bid day and joined in the chorus of women singing the words, “I am a Tri Delta!” From there I went on to meet my best friends, develop a passion for philanthropy and service, and grow into a confident young woman. Whether you are hesitant about this decision, completely sure, or somewhere in between, my advice to you is this:

          1. Go all in! Sign up for recruitment and see the entire process through

          2. Keep an open mind! There are so many sororities to meet and some of them might surprise you

          3. Be yourself! You will find the right place for YOU

You never know where this journey will take you and what you will find along the way. I have a strong feeling that you will be pleasantly surprised with where you end up. And who knows? Maybe one day you will be singing the words “I am a Tri Delta” with us. On behalf of the Epsilon Tau chapter of Delta Delta Delta, we are thrilled that you are interested in joining our community and we cannot wait to meet you!

Delta love,

Sophie
